The cast of YANKEE DAWG YOU DIE gives classic Hollywood in this glamorous photo series by Andrew Ge
“We built the mountain, as small as it may be... filled with forgotten moments of extraordinary wonder, artistic achievement.”
Step into the world of Vincent Chang and Bradley Yamashita—two actors navigating the highs, lows, and hard truths of Asian Americans making it in the entertainment industry. Premiering in 1988 and first performed at EWP in 2001, YANKEE DAWG YOU DIE has long been an indictment of the stereotypes and limitations imposed on actors of color, igniting crucial conversations about how far we’ve come and how much further there is to go.
Join us for the first previews of the highly anticipated revival of Philip Kan Gotanda’s YANKEE DAWG YOU DIE at the David Henry Hwang Theater. This bold new production—directed by longtime EWP collaborator Jennifer Chang—features Kelvin Han Yee as Vincent Chang and Daniel J. Kim as Bradley Yamashita, supported by understudies Grant Chang and Jonathan Linux Cheung. All actors are seen here giving big leading man energy in this incredible photo series by photographer and EWP alum Andrew Ge (Ensemble, MAMMA MIA!).
