CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS: MRS. CHOWDARY, a modest Bangladeshi woman, mid-to-late 50s, traditionally dressed; she she was Logan's Uncle's lover, and owns the "Khyber Pass Inn" in downtown L.A., where a murder takes place; MR. CHOWDARY, late 60s, quiet; with sandals, skullcap, and chin-beard; her husband; wishes they never came to America; DEVI, 19 or 20, the Chowdary's grand-daughter; (recurs later as a love interest for Logan); not sure if she wants to be a doctor or a beauty pageant queen
