this, the Year of the Dragon, EWP Founding Artistic Director Mako
directs this seminal play by the playwright may consider to be the
godfather of Asian American theatre. This play caused an enormous
uproar when it was first produced in 1974. It not only influenced
a generation of Asian Pacific American writers, but it also had a
profound impact on an entire generation of Asian Americans.
