Board Profile DANIEL M. MAYEDA Daniel M. Mayeda is a shareholder with Leopold, Petrich and Smith, where he specializes in litigation involving the media and entertainment industries. In 2007-09, Dan was named in Los Angeles magazine as a “Southern California Super Lawyer.” He has served as pro bono Legal Counsel for EWP for the past dozen years. Dan has written and spoken extensively on media, intellectual property and Asian American community issues, and has been an Adjunct Professor at USC's Annenberg School for Communication. On behalf of EWP, Dan helped lead a national multi-ethnic coalition of civil rights and media activism groups to persuade the four major television networks to increase diversity on screen and behind the scenes.
