PROJECT TITLE:
UNITE ARTISTS & ARTS LEADERS AT A NATIONAL APA CONFERENCE & FESTIVAL

PROJECT PLAN:
In June 2011, the Consortium of Asian American Theater and Artists will bring artists & arts leaders to Los Angeles, hosted by East West Players & TeAda Prods. This joint conference & festival will be the 5th national convening (3^rd Conference, 3^rd Festival--combined for the 1^st time) to share performing arts, explore best practices & celebrate diversity of Asian Pacific Americans. The conference will survey the nation's APA arts leaders to include panels that address issues relevant to their work & communities. The festival (curated through process committed to diversity of cultures & art forms) will present works to reflect the breadth of APA arts in the US today.

Asian Pacific America includes 100's of cultures that are under-represented, little- or mis-understood. This convening strives to embrace these cultures, share their rich contributions to our history & support the many voices of APA performing arts now & in the future.
